Our Story

RefillDrop started in 2020 with a simple goal: reduce single-use plastic waste. We buy eco-friendly products in bulk, before repackaging them in reusable containers and delivering them to your doorstep. When you return empty containers, we clean, and reuse them; think of us like milkmen, but with more products. Our model makes it easy and affordable for people like you to reduce their single-use plastic consumption. RefillDrop’s commitment to reducing plastic waste doesn’t end here: for every item sold, we’ll pick up one piece of litter.

RefillDrop's Co-Founders

David Hansford

Co-founder

Hi, I’m David, an engineer-turned-entrepreneur, and I work to ensure RefillDrop’s supply chain is operating as close to zero-waste as possible. Aside from this, I search for new products to add to our ever-expanding range, so let me know if there are any other items you’d like to see us stock. My journey towards a zero-waste lifestyle began after I was struck by how much single-use plastic is thrown away. I couldn’t see a means of cutting out unnecessary plastic from everyday goods that was affordable and convenient for everyone: so I created RefillDrop. Outside of work, I’m usually playing music, sports, or with Rufus, my seven-year-old Red Setter.

David’s favourite RefillDrop products: Fill hand soap, Tealicious Early grey, and WGAC toilet paper.

Chris Williams

Co-founder

Hi, I’m Chris, and I manage all the PR and techy stuff that goes on behind the scenes of RefillDrop. Plastic pollution has been on my radar from a young age; growing up on a farm, it was my job to pick up the litter left behind by trespassers. My awareness of the issue heightened as my love for surfing grew, and I found myself swimming in our waste far too often. It wasn’t until I created a sustainable plastic strategy for one of the world’s leading corporations that I became an expert on the topic. When I’m not working, there’s a good chance I’m either surfing or playing with Coco, my two-year-old French Bulldog.

Chris’s favourite products: Fill Fig Leaf hand soap, WGAC toilet paper, and RefillDrop hand sanitiser.
